Project- Based Learnings in Music Education Workshop
PSME partnered with the UP College of Music Department of Music Education, and the Junior Music Educator’s Guild (JMEG) in holding a seminar workshop on Project – based Learning in Higher Music Education on September 8, 2016 at the Abelardo Hall Auditorium of UP.

The workshop was one of a number of concerts, lectures and symposia in celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of the UP College of Music this year.

The projects presented included the following: 1) Taya! Ore-school big book featuring Philippine games and music by Ruth Naomi Baquitan, 2) My Music Maestro coding and design of theory software pilot-tested among elementary school children in a private school in Laguna by Ronald Rae Yu, 3) ethnographic research of Si Dumalong at Pinatubo storybook musical for high school by Citas Abihay-Yson, and 4) Community Therapy by Rendell Bata.

Music teachers and students who watched and participated in the workshop include those of the  Adventist University of the Philippines of Cavite City, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University of Agoo, La Union and several schools of Metro Manila.
